The Town of Whitby is intending to prequalify General Contractor’s for three (3) subsequent Tender processes that includes the construction of the Parks Administration and Maintenance Facility, West Whitby Fire Station No. 6, and the Community Animal and By-Law Enforcement Services Facility. The Town intends to prequalify the highest scoring Proponents. Only Proponents that achieve an overall minimum score of 60 will be eligible to be selected as Prequalified General Contractors. The Town reserves the right to expand or reduce the number of Prequalified General Contractors at the Town’s sole discretion based on scoring results. 

Only the Proponents selected, during the Prequalification procurement process, as Prequalified General Contractors will be eligible and invited to submit bids for the subsequent Tenders. 

The intent of the subsequent Tenders will be to establish a contract for all labour, materials, equipment & supervision necessary to complete each of the construction projects. 

Tender documents are planned to be published at later dates noted within the Bid Document. 

This Prequalification will serve as a Notice of Intended Procurement for the subsequent Tenders as per Chapter nineteen: Government procurement of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.
